Stamp Althea LAV617, Zelith LAV616 and Mini Crown LAV622 onto A5 Multifarious white card using Versafine Clair Twilight. Put Embossing powder on the crown and blow dry. Apply Liquid Masking to both the mermaids.
Stamp Glow Flowers LAV388 and Foxglove LAV475 with Versafine Clair Monarch and Purple Delight and Fairy Bonnet Set LAV612 with Versafine Clair Warm Breeze. Stamp Urchins LAV631 with Versafine Clair Medieval Blue, Marine Kelp LAV625 with Versafine Clair Rain Forest and Willow LAV173 with Versafine Clair Shady Lane. Use a Hill Mask to create some rocks, hills, and ocean floor with Elements Ink Graphite.
Add a few more hills and then stamp the Far World Castle LAV543 with Versafine Clair Morning Mist. I stamped some with first generation and some with the fainter second generation stamp to create the illusion of some being further away.
Stamp just the ends of the Forest Spruce LAV428 and the ends of Spanish Moss Foliage LAV505 with Versafine Clair Monarch, Purple Delight, Shady Lane, and Rain Forest on the rocks and some on the ocean floor. Make sure to leave some spaces without "grass" in the background.
Very gently remove the Liquid Masking on the mermaids using a Mask Away Block. Add some background colour (and on the mermaids) with Elements Ink Violet Chalk. Just brush on top of the flowers and the castle. Make sure to keep the middle part white. Using Elements Ink Blue Atoll, add colour to the mermaids and fill in the white centre with some lovely blue!
Simply darken the corners with Elements Ink Dark Denim.
To bring a little warmth to the design, use a little bit of Elements Ink Violet Chalk on some of the rocks and some of the grass.
Then use soft watercolour pencils to colour the mermaids. I chose one green and one purple. So, both have 4 different shades on them. The darker colour on their backs and a lighter colour towards the front. Finish using the white pencil to highlight the front of the mermaids.
Colour their hair to match their bodies and colour the Glow Flowers, Foxgloves and Urchins with the purples, blues and pinks, and the Fairy Bonnets with a light blue!
Continue to colour the rest of the grass, trying not to colour anything in one solid colour. Either colour only half of things or use one lighter and one darker colour. Also shade in the ocean floor and in between the stones. Some of the grass may not look like it is connected to the surface, so colour to make it look like it grows from the ground. The castles got a little colour on them too, just to make them look complete.
Use the white pencil to draw some highlights on the vegetation and on the rocks and the ocean floor.
Use a white Gelly Roll and/or Uniball pen to create light reflections and highlights on everything. Put white light in all the castle windows and some small dots on the ocean floor to make it look like shiny sand.
A white Posca pen to create some bubbles/small floating orbs in the water. Just make dots in groups and some dots coming from the mermaids mouths and some of the flowers.
And finally some glitter glue to make it sparkle !! Now it is finished !
