Stock Controller

Salary: £26,235 – £27,300 per year
Overview: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our stock control and warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with warehouse management systems, and a solid understanding of supply chain logistics. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to process optimisation and inventory accuracy in a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be jointly responsible for maintaining stock levels, analysing data, and implementing improvements to optimise stock control processes. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Responsibilities: • Monitor and manage stock levels using ERPNext. • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies through root cause analysis. • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely shipping & receiving, including materials handling and heavy lifting where necessary. • Implement category management strategies to optimise stock assortment and merchandising. • Analyse data mining outputs to identify opportunities for process improvement within inventory workflows. • Utilise data visualisation techniques for clear reporting on stock movements and performance metrics. • Manage stock replenishment cycles, stocking procedures, and materials handling activities. • Support shipping & receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards. Requirements: • Proven experience in warehouse management, retail management, or supply chain roles with a focus on stock control. • Strong analysis skills with proficiency in Excel or SQL. • Familiarity with ERP systems, primarily ERPNext. • Knowledge of logistics, 3PL operations, shipping & receiving procedures. • Experience with category management, process improvement initiatives, and root cause analysis. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle materials handling tasks including heavy lifting. • Good understanding of merchandising principles and retail environment dynamics.
