In the Flower Garden – Ageeth Holster

Step by Step by Ageeth Holster

Hi, It’s Ageeth here with a new Step-by-Step tutorial. This one is called In the Flower Garden. I hope you like it. 🧚‍♂️

Step 1.

Using one piece of white A5 Multifarious card. Blend using Lavinia stencil brush series 7.  I made a background with Lavinia Elements Bermuda and Elements Green Parrot.

Step 2.

I stamped the Far World Castle (LAV534) in Versafine Clair Twilight. Sacred Spells (LAV 465) also in Versafine Clair Twilight. The Tree scene (LAV219) in Versafine Clair Spruce, Shady Lane and Acorn.

Step 3.

With the Mini Hill masks I made a hill, stamped Wild Flower (LAV 188) and Lavender (LAV 093) in Versafine Clair Twilight, Shady Lane and Lilac Bloom. Stamped Rosemary (LAV947) to make some structures. Coloured the backgrounds with Lavinia Elements Pine and Olive.

Step 4.

Cut out the flowers, add some ‘grass’ on the scene stamping just the tops of the Rosemary (LAV947) in Versafine Clair Shady Lane. To achieve this look, use a piece of paper to mask off the area below.

Step 5.

Now glue the flowers on the back of the hill. Next make another hill with the Lavinia Mini Hill masks and coloured it in Elements Pine and Olive. With the other half of the paper that you have used to create the hill, stamp Fip (LAV697) and colour the background with Elements Greensleeves. Stamp the Fairy Lanterns Set on some A6 multifarious card (LAV586) in Versafine Clair Twilight and colour the background Fairy Lanterns in Elements ink Sundance. See the picture for more details.

Step 6.

Add on the A5 scene the Lilly (LAV362) stamp, stamping in Versafine Clair Twilight. Cut out Fip and the Lanterns and stamp another Lavender (LAV093) in Versafine Clair Shady Lane and Lilac Bloom. Place three bits of foam tape as positioned at the base of A5 card as in the photograph.

Step 7.

Glue Fip and the Lanterns on the background of the hill. See the photograph for placement.

Step 8.

Now we colour all the flowers, Fip and the lanterns with pastel and watercolour pencils. Add touches of Posca pens sunshine yellow to the Lilly stamp, lavender and violet to the Lavender flower. Finally use the glacier blue on the other flowers. Add some Wink of Stella for some sparkle. In the trees I made dots with Posca pens Pink and White.

Step 9.

Using the foam tape, put into position earlier, attach the smaller layer with flowers. Next use more foam tape and attach the layer with Fip and the Fairy Lanterns. This will create depth into the scene.

Stamp Shadow Bloom (LAV904) and some Moss Flowers (LAV898) in Versafine Clair Twilight and colour them in with Mondeluz watercolour pencils. To add some shine use Gelly Roll stardust.  Use Posca pens apple green and blue sparkle to some more colour here and there. Add some dots and orbs in the background, grass and around the flowers with Posca yellow, orange, white and the Gelly Roll pen stardust. Create a sun effect behind the castle with Elements ink Sahara and Russet Orange and a series 7 stencil brush. Make sure the edges are a bit darker with Elements Olive. Finally, cut the flowers and glue them on the scene.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial. I look forward to seeing your beautiful garden pictures. Enjoy your creative time! Ageeth.
