A stunning “shimmering steampunk” card created by Katarina, using a selection of stamps from the Ministry of Time collection.
Step-by-Step
1. Start by randomly spraying Mica Mist Spray, Spring moss and Chestnut bay over the card. Spray some water over it to make the colours move. Let it air dry or use a heat gun. Then spray some Mica Mist on your craft mat, dip the Fan brush and splatter over the card. Make sure the card is dry before stamping.
2. Using Versafine Clair Warm breeze, stamp Zia on the left side of the card. Wipe away the paint above her eyes on the stamp before stamping. Put the stamp a partially outside the card.
3. Now stamp the beautiful mask over her eyes. And don’t worry, it’s easy to get it in the right position to stamp.
4. Now it’s time to complete the steampunk look by giving Zia her topper hat.
5. Stamp the wings with 1st and 2nd generation stamps. I used a mask on her shoulder when stamping because I didn’t use the whole stamp.
6. Use the Flower mask and a stencil brush to make the pattern at the bottom of the card.
7. Now stamp some words in 1st and 2nd generation along the right side of the card. You can use a stamping platform if you find it difficult to get the words straight.
8. We need some Cog wheels too. Stamp them in the upper left corner. In different sizes and in 1st and 2nd generation.
9. Darken the right side with Shady Lane. Then use the Blue Belle around all edges to frame the card.
10. Now for the finishing touches. Spray some extra Chestnut Bay on the card if you want more shimmer. I just had to have some more. Finally, mount the card and then it’s done!
