Step by Step by Emma-Jo
Hello everyone, it’s Emma-Jo here. Today I’m sharing with you a make called “Weeding Party!”. This card is ideal for anyone who enjoys gardening or just being outside! I hope you enjoy it.
Picture 1
Using some A6 white multifarious card blend some Elements Ink Lime Punch around the outside to form a frame. Add some Elements Ink Sundance to the centre. See the picture for placement.
Picture 2
Rip some copier paper to create a line for your ground. Place the ripped paper so the ripped edge is nearest to the bottom of the card. Blend some Elements Ink Olive over the ripped edge and onto the card.
Picture 3
Next stamp the Herb Garden Sign stamp LAV941 in Versafine Clair Pinecone and then in Versafine Clair Twilight stamp the Herbalum Baz LAV942 so he is standing on it. Make sure that his feet are touching the sign.
Picture 4
Using Versafine Clair Pinecone stamp in first and second generation stamping the Mushies LAV945.
Picture 5
Next create a foliage frame for the card using Leaf Creeper LAV742, Dill LAV938, Sage LAV949 and Thyme LAV952. Using Versafine Clair ink in Shady Lane stamp some of the larger Safe stamp along the bottom edge. In between the Sage stamp some of the larger Thyme stamps so they overlap the page. See the picture for placement. Take the Thyme up the sides to halfway up the page. Add some Dill up the side from the halfway point up to the top corners. Add the Leaf creeper across the top in first- and second-generation stamping. Make it longer at the outside edge and lighter towards the middle.
Picture 6
Take a dark green Mondeluz watercolour pencil and shade across the bottom of the stamped Mushies to create a variation in the depth of the foreground. Add a touch of a dark brown pencil too. By using the side of the pencil lead you can build up the colour to create more tones. See the picture for placement.
Picture 7
Using a deep red Mondeluz Watercolour Pencil colour in the Mushies that are level with the Herb Garden Sign and behind it. Colour the Mushies in the foreground with a red Posca Pen and once dry add some white dots with a Posca Pen. Colour the Herb Garden Sign using Mondeluz water colour pencils yellow and some touches or red and green. Add some white highlights to the right-hand side of the Herbalum and on the top right hand corner of the sign. Using Elements Ink Mermaid and a series 9 stencil brush gently blend around the outside of the card. Next Using Elements Ink Mulberry and a series 3 stencil brush blend a frame to the very edge of the card. See the picture for placement.
Picture 8
Take the Mushroom Sticker set and add four of the lighter mushrooms to the bottom of the card. Next add a small blue butterfly to the right above the Herbalums head. To finish the card off add some Lime Green stickles to the buds on the Leaf Creeper. There we go! Your card is finished! I hope you have enjoyed creating this card. If you have any questions, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Until next time – Have fun!
