Welcome!

In today’s tutorial, Emma-Jo draws inspiration from the beauty of stained-glass windows, recreating that luminous effect using Alcohol Inks.

Her design centres around the intricately detailed Arch of Angels stamp, focusing on its “Inner Gate” to achieve the stained-glass look. To create this effect, she dabbed alcohol inks onto the glossy, non-absorbent side of a sheet of shrink plastic, then took a vibrant “print” onto Multifarious card.

In the finished piece, our elegant black cat Luka is seen basking in the glow of the colourful doorway. Surrounding this, Emma-Jo builds the look of a weathered stone wall using the Block stencil to add texture and depth.

She adds extra detail with Posca Pens, Kuretake Clean Colour Pens, and Mondeluz Watercolour Pencils, finishing the piece with a touch of sparkle using Stickles Glitter.

It’s the perfect reminder to pause, breathe, and take a moment.
