Using the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours with Helen Pritchett

Play Video

Helen Pritchett demonstrates how to create rainbow backgrounds using the highly versatile Gansai Tambi paints. These traditional Japanese watercolour paints by Kuretake are blendable and have a creamy-smooth, almost gauche feel to them.

After applying the pigments with the company’s Series 181 Watercolour Reservoir Brush, she then spritzes with water to allow the colours to blend and run.

The resulting colourful background made a perfect setting for our lovely fairy Olivia.
