Shading Techniques with the Bayleaf Cottage by Tracey Dutton

Play Video

Summer is a-coming, and it has inspired Tracey to create this lovely colourful card featuring the beautifully detailed Bayleaf Cottage stamp.

She gave it a “sun-kissed” appearance by adding a golden glow to one side of the roof, and this gave the cottage a more three-dimensional look.

By using a cut-out masking sheet, Tracey was able to stamp liberally with a range of floral mini stamps, whilst keeping the foliage appearing to be very much in the background behind the cottage.

Posca Pens and Stickles added those all-important finishing touches.
